Thanks to the DuctScout locator the position of DuctMarker LT GEO and DuctMarker LT will be
located and measured within centimetre accuracy. DuctMarkers are used to mark position of buried microduct joints and fiber optic products (i.e., closures, prepared FTTH house connections).
The DuctScout finds DuctMarkers at depths of up to two metres in the ground. The integrated GNSS antenna can also be used to measure the position of network elements that have been marked with DuctMarkers. The locating device is frequency-selectively programmed at 101.4 kHz for telecommunication installations. Combined with the free DuctMaps web application, a centralized documentation and navigation is achieved. All measured positions of the markers are stored centrally and can be edited, supplemented or retrieved at any time. This combination of the technologies enables the geodata to be transferred directly to a DuctScout and such making it easy to locate DuctMarkers LT GEO in the field.
DuctScout is also compatible with EMS markers from other manufacturers. However, the exact location of markers from other manufacturers depends on the technology used in these products.
