Description
The use of the calibration mandrel prevents blow-in stoppages at microduct joints.
When the microducts are cut to size, sharp edges are produced and changes in the geometry of the cross-section are caused. Incorrect storage or mechanical loads can also contribute to changes in the cross-section of a microduct.
If these microducts are connected untreated in a coupling or other connecting components, the cable can get stuck at the connection point when it is blown in. The calibration mandrel returns the microduct to its original shape with a round cross-section.
The calibration mandrel has a phase for each stage so that it can be inserted into the microduct with little force. The calibration mandrel is suitable for thin- and thick-walled microducts according to DIN EN 50411-6-1 and DIN EN 60794-5-ff. The nominal diameters for the inner diameters are 3.5/4/5.5/6/8/10/11.4/12/15/16mm. The diameters are engraved on the handle.
